How do I know what is an acceptable image?
Please feel free to email me at meagan.marchant@gmail.com any images in question. I’m happy to help you select a strong image if you are in doubt. Common issues with photos include poor lighting, pixelated or blurry images, and poorly cropped photos.

When do I pay you?
Once you’ve decided on which photo you’d like to have painted and at which size, you can make a payment online to secure your spot in line.

How long until I get my painting?
Paintings generally take about 1-2 weeks once started, however, the start date of the painting can vary depending on how many paintings are ahead of yours. During slow periods it may only be a few days to start a painting, while during the holidays it can take a couple of months.

How do I get you my photos?
Please email me your photos at meagan.marchant@gmail.com. In the event that you’ve already selected a size and checked out via Etsy, you can also use their messenger to send me photos.

What is the difference between stretched canvas and canvas board / panel?
The biggest difference is thickness. Stretched canvas is about 1/2”-1” deep, due to the canvas being stretched around a wooden frame. Canvas panel is roughly a 1/4” deep, due to the canvas being applied to a thin backer board. I find that most people prefer the stretched canvas due to ease of hanging (if not using a frame) and it tends to look more professional. Canvas panels, while having a greater likelihood of warping, are more hardy and less likely to puncture.

What size should I choose?
This is largely up to you, but I suggest you think about where you might like to display the artwork. While the most common size I paint is 11”x14”, you will likely find this size to be too small if you plan to hang it over a larger open wall space, such as above a couch. On the other hand, if you’d just like the artwork to sit on a bedside table, an 8”x10” is probably sufficient. Additionally, if you have more than one pet to be painted, painting sizes will need to be larger, as it gets difficult to fit the same amount of detail on a smaller canvas.

Can you pet both of my pets in one painting?
Yes, I offer multiple subjects on one canvas. My prices range from an additional $25-50 per subject. If your pets are in two different photos and need to be collaged together, I will need to review the photos first, as we’ll want to be sure the light sources are similar.
